"A father has been jailed for five years for a catalogue of brutal abuse he inflicted on his own children.
Terrence Eames was handed the sentence at Derby Crown Court after being convicted earlier this month of 16 counts of child cruelty.
The 53-year-old, from Hartshorne in Derbyshire, was branded 'evil' by his ex-wife during the trial which heard how he had tormented his two sons and two daughters for 13 years".
